  1. Apr 06,  · I've been a huge Marshall Crenshaw fan since his debut LP, and I like pretty much all of his albums. (Right Now was another fave from Downtown) so I do hear where folks are comparing it to his older albums. To be fair I'll give the album some time to set in. I can hear some possibility there. Jaggedland is his best CD in YEARS, IMHO. DO.

  3. Product Description. Marshall Crenshaw by Marshal Crenshaw kamammevobulxojetspeanodakhtappe.coinfo One of the best releases of the '80s (by one of the most consistent album artists in rock since that time), Marshall Crenshaw is a jukebox of catchy riffs, hooky choruses, and beatific harmonies from Detroit-reared singer-guitarist Crenshaw and his trio. This is a classic driving album, beach album, doing-housework album /5(97).
  4. "Downtown" is a classic, classic album that embodies Crenshaw's strengths for mimicking Buddy Holly and putting a new spin on rockabilly sound in general. I have no doubt that it is T-Bone Burnette's hand in the production of this music that really helps to make this Marshall Crenshaw's best over all work/5(12).
  5. Nov 11,  · For Marshall Crenshaw, being compared to a latter-day Buddy Holly was something he had to deal with at the beginning of his highly successful now plus year career, not only because he looked strikingly like Holly, but his music seemed to have that same simple yet energetic early rock feel coupled with subtly clever lyrics.
  6. Oct 06,  · I've bought them all faithfully -- I Don't See You Laughing Now, Stranger And Stranger, Driving And Dreaming, Red Wine, Move Now and Grab The Next Train. Eighteen songs so far, and I've looked forward to each one. Then, during the summer, Marshall announced he was putting out a CD compiled from them, # The EP Collection.
